Director, Marketing and Commercial
TraPac is a leading marine container terminal operator in the ports of Los Angeles and Oakland California. The company is completing major expansion projects at both terminals and wishes to change and improve our approach to strategic planning and development
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Director, Marketing & Commercial will work with the executive team to develop and support the company’s growth strategies and the translation of those strategies into actionable marketing and commercial plans. Will work with the President and CEO and with the commercial teams to further develop core customer relationships and to position TraPac as a preferred supplier and industry leader. Will work with the President and CEO to develop the strategic marketing plan for the company and with the CFO to agree critical development projects and capital requirements.
Will engage directly with external stakeholders, including the Port of Los Angeles, the Port of Oakland, railroads, trucking companies, shipping line customers and cargo shippers.
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years in a corporate / development / investor relations role.
Proven background developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives and commercial strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of project oversight and management.
Direct experience dealing with executive officers
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS-Office suite of programs.
Willingness to travel as required.
